Alert ID Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. The following Privacy Policy sets out how we use and protect the information you provide us.
By accessing or using any of the Alert ID websites, you agree to the terms of Alert ID Privacy Policy, as set out below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this site. Alert ID reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion. Your use of this or any Alert ID site will be subject to the most current version of the Privacy Policy at the time of such use.

Your information

When you use ‘Account Setup’ to register with Alert ID, order ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ or register with us on www.alertidgroup.co.uk , www.alertid.co.uk, www.alertidservices.co.uk, www.cram-alert.co.uk, www.beids.co.uk or www.ride-alert.co.uk, (the “Websites”), you will be given the opportunity to store certain information such as your name, email address, contact telephone numbers, date of birth, ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ selections. You will also, by default provide information about your usage of our website (for example, the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com, your browser type and the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit) (“Your Information”).
Alert ID Services does not keep a record of credit/debit card details.

How Your Information is used

Alert ID uses any information stored by users, to administer the website, assist customers with the enquiry selected and for the purpose of administering the ‘Emergency Support Team’. We may also use information to inform customers about special offers, new products, services, promotions, and other similar information which we offer which may be of interest to you. We may contact customers by post, telephone, as well as by e-mail as per the preference stated at the time of registration or placement of an order with us. At any time customers may update their information or unsubscribe from receiving notifications from Alert ID Services Ltd, by contacting us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Alert ID recognises and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected through the Alert ID websites. We will use information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other laws or regulations currently in force in the United Kingdom (the “Data Protection Legislation”). We are registered as a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Disclosing your information to third parties

Alert ID does not sell, trade, or rent your information to others, but reserves the right to provide aggregate data to third parties for statistical analysis. Such data will not be linked to any particular individuals. Alert ID does not disclose your information to third parties without consent unless legally required to do so or where such disclosure is necessary to enable third parties who act for us to process your order. Those third parties process information, fulfil and deliver orders, process credit card payments and provide support services on our behalf. Customer information will sometimes be used to inform customers of other products, services and special offers from third parties, but only when specifically requested by the customer. Upon registration with Alert ID Services Ltd or placement an order on the Alert ID websites, customers confirm that they do not consider any of the uses the information described above as being a breach of any of the rights conferred under the Data Protection Legislation.

Security to protect your information

We employ security measures to protect customer information from being accessed by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. However, while we take all reasonable steps to protect customer information, customers accept that no Internet data transmission can be guaranteed to be secure from access by unintended recipients and customers will not hold us liable for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence. We will retain customer information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

Use of cookies

In order to improve our site, we may use “cookies” to track customer visits and to process orders. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to the customer’s browser by a Web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to the customer. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. Customers can set their browser to notify them when they receive a cookie, giving them the chance to decide whether or not to accept it - please refer to the “help” menu on your browser or to the information that came with your browser software.
While Alert ID uses cookies to track your visit, and our Web servers automatically log the IP/Internet address of your computer, this information does not identify you personally.

Service Terms & Conditions

Alert ID provides persons with ID devices to identify them and their medical conditions, by telephone call to the Alert ID Emergency Support team using the telephone number displayed on an Alert ID Device.
In order to be identified the person carrying or wearing the Alert ID device must register themselves and their ID device(s) number(s) and assign the ID devices to themselves and the ID number and the telephone number on the ID device being used must be legible. This is achieved using the Alert ID online registration process, notified at the time of the purchase. When the information on an ID Device becomes illegible, it should be discarded and removed from the Alert ID register.
Alert ID also provides ID devices for pets, horses, vehicles, homes and business premises, personal property, luggage and keys belonging to registered persons.
In order to identify found pets, horses, vehicles, personal property, luggage and keys, the Alert ID registered owner must register the ID Device(s) and ID Number(s) with Alert ID and assign them to the correct item of property, owner or account holder and the telephone number on the ID device being used must be legible. This is achieved using the Alert ID online registration process, notified at the time of the purchase. When the information on an ID Device becomes illegible, it should be discarded and removed from the Alert ID register.
In order to identify a home or business premises registered with Alert ID and where a key holder is required, the Alert ID registered owner must register the property ID Device(s) and ID Number(s) with Alert ID and assign them to the correct home or business premises, owner or account holder and the telephone number on the ID device being used must be legible. This is achieved using the Alert ID online registration process, notified at the time of the purchase. When the information on an ID Device becomes illegible, it should be discarded and removed from the Alert ID register.

Personal Medical and Contact file and Photo ID Cards

Alert ID also provides visible means of identifying a person, the ability to print and store personal information in a PDF format and produce personal Photo Identification Cards for any person or Horse, registered on the ‘Alert ID Register’.
Alert ID printed or emailed personal medical and Contact files and Photo ID Cards display a telephone number for the Alert ID Emergency Support Team. They also display a unique ID number, which identifies the registered person or horse.

Alert ID - ‘Lost and Found’ Service

1. Alert ID undertakes to receive telephone calls from members of the public who may find anything or anyone with an Alert ID device, tag, label, sticker or other Alert ID device attached to it or worn by a registered member.
2. Alert ID will endeavour to identify the owner of property, or the registered next-of-kin of the person, by accessing the Alert ID database of registered owners and people, and using the unique ID number on the ID Device.
3. Alert ID will endeavour to identify a registered persons medical file as recorded on the Alert ID register and when required, relay medical information including crisis plans, medication, doctor contact information etc, as recorded on the Alert ID register by the member for use in any emergency situation.
4. Provided the ID device has been correctly registered with Alert ID and the registration is current, Alert ID will endeavour to contact the owner of the personal property or found person’s registered next-of-kin and inform them of the current situation.
5. Alert ID undertakes not to provide the finder with the details of the owner of personal property or details of next of kin for persons found ill, injured or simply needing assistance. However after verification, Alert ID will provide Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade control centres with the details of the next-of-kin of an Alert ID registered family who has been found needing assistance.
6. Alert ID will endeavour to give the owner of the personal property or the next-of-kin the contact details of the finder.
7. Alert ID will endeavour to establish contact between the finder and the owner or next-of-kin, so that they may arrange for the reunification of the person, personal property with the next-of-kin, or owner as appropriate.
8. Alert ID may contact anyone registered on the Alert ID database and offer them additional Alert ID and upgrade their registrations to include larger storage capacity on the Alert ID database, superior quality ID tags and additional benefits as offered from time to time by Alert ID.
9. Owners who register for any Alert ID service will pay a setup or renewal charge to Alert ID. Any term or form of service that Alert ID offers through the purchase of ID Devices is free of charge and cannot be guaranteed. There is no extended service that is paid for. Any service that is offered or provided at any time has a financial worth of £0.01 per registration.

‘Account Setup’

The registration of one or more persons onto the ‘Alert ID Register’ can include:
• Account holder details
• Family members and medical details
• Family Emergency contact details
• Trips and travel plan details
• Pets and associated information
• Horses and associated information
• Vehicle details, driver and passenger placements
• GP contact details
• Description of portable valuables and relevant serial numbers
• Home and business premises details including keyholder(s), emergency access points etc
• Notes to supplement any entries
• Password and username generation
• Additional fields as may be added from time to time

‘Alert ID Register’

The database upon which members may store contact details, medical and allergy details and additional helpful information for themselves and their family for access by the Alert ID ‘Emergency Support Team’ for the purposes of reuniting any person, pet, horse or anything bearing an Alert ID ‘ID Device’ with its owner or family.
‘Registered Account Holder’

This is the person that is shown as the Registered Account Holder’ on the ‘Alert ID Register’.
All non-emergency communications from Alert ID to its members are made through the ‘Registered Account holder’.

‘Products’ and ID Devices

‘Products’ include any material products that are posted or despatched to an Alert ID customer on receipt of payment or otherwise. ‘ID Devices’ include ID tags and stickers, cards, registration certificates, promotional literature and brochures, packaging and all other physical items that may be available for purchase through the Alert ID web shop or by telephoning Alert ID. ID tags, wristbands, lanyards, stickers, Photo ID cards, ID cards, or anything bearing the Alert ID telephone number and a unique ID reference number is known as an ‘ID Device’

‘ID Device’

An ‘ID Device’ is a device bearing the Alert ID telephone number and a unique reference number for that ‘ID Device’ After 7 days refunds for malfunction or wear and tear will be entirely at the discretion of Alert ID Services Ltd. All ‘ID Devices’ come with free ‘3 year’ ‘public’ access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ via the telephone number on the ‘ID Device’. Any ‘ID Device’ where the telephone number or unique ID number becomes illegible, will no longer be deemed to be an ‘ID Device’ and Alert ID Services do not accept any responsibility for the condition of ‘ID Devices’ after the initial 7 day refund period has expired.

Free ‘Public’ access to ‘Emergency Support Team’

Access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ is free with the purchase of any ‘ID Device’. You cannot purchase access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ for any period of time by credit or debit Card. Any credit or debit card sale payment is for ID Device(s), Register set up, administration and Postage.
‘Emergency Support Team’ access is not offered at the purchase transaction date. It is offered at point of Registration i.e. When the customer/ member has received their ID Tags and is in the process of Registering them.
Free access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ is always available to anyone reporting that they have found any Alert ID ‘ID Device’ whether or not that devices is attached to a person, pet, horse, luggage, vehicle, keys, home or business premises or other item of personal property.

The Registration Process

After your purchase of Alert ID ‘ID Devices’ you may register your family members and ID Devices on the Alert ID Register.
This is achieved by visiting any of the Alert ID web sites and is Free of further Charge. At the point of Registration you will receive access to the Register via the Alert ID web site and the public will receive Free access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ via the numbers on your ‘ID Device(s)’.
Your registration is free for the duration of the registration period as notified on accompanying literature and or email communications.

Registration Setup - Registration Renewal – Lapsed Registrations

A registration expires at a specified date determined by the length of registration indicated at the time of the purchase or free provision of the ‘registration setup’ or registration renewal’ and which begins at the point of online ‘Registration setup’ or ‘Registration Renewal’.
Before the expiry date the ‘Account Holder’ will be notified from time to time by email, that the ‘registration is about to expire’ and is invited to login to their account to renew their registration by purchasing a ‘Registration Renewal’. This is an administration fee and does not covey payment for a term of service, which is free after ‘registration renewal ‘.
When payment for ‘Registration renewal’ is not received Alert ID account remains active for a period of 1 month, but the account is frozen and cannot be updated. In this period the ‘Account Holder’ may login and purchase ‘Registration renewal’.
In the absence of payment for ‘Registration Renewal’, at the end of 1 month, the account may be terminated by Alert ID in which case all existing data and ID Devices become expired and cannot be used at any point in the future.
In the event that Alert ID devices are used when the account is expired (1 month after the official expiry date) and an incident occurs whereby Alert ID receives an incident report, Alert ID is under no obligation to respond to any calls it may receive from first responders or finders, although it may do so at its discretion and make an administration charge to the account holder for doing so. Minimum charge £100.00 Maximum charge £200.00.

‘Emergency Support Team’

Alert ID provides a central point to report the finding of an ‘Alert ID Device’, whether or not it is worn by a member, or attached to any pet, horse, luggage, vehicle, home or business premises, keys or other item of personal property.
‘Alert ID Devices’ display a 24/7 telephone number and a unique ID number. When the ‘ID Device’ telephone number is dialled, the call is answered by the ‘Emergency Support Team’ The caller is asked to quote the displayed unique ID number and provide a name and contact number for themselves. They are also asked for their location and a brief description of what has occurred.
Using the unique ID number, Alert ID Support Team, access the ‘Alert ID Register’ via a secure web link. They search on the unique ID number and view the member’s ‘Alert ID Register’ record.
The Support Team relay details of the member’s registered medical information as required or confirm that the pet, horse, vehicle, home or business premises, keys, luggage, item of personal property owner has been located on the Alert ID Register and then telephone the next of kin / owner using the registered emergency contact details on the ‘Alert ID Register’.
When the next of kin / owner has been contacted The Support Team informs them of the first responder / finders name, contact number and location and a brief description of the incident. For example: Your son Stephen has been involved in a vehicle accident, he is injured and being taken to X hospital. We have told the first responder that he has an allergy to morphine. OR – You keys have been found outside TESCO in Worthing, they are now with customer services and you can telephone them on xxxx.
The next of kin / owner is then responsible for contacting the responder / finder.
When a person is found ill or injured by the emergency services Alert ID will provide the emergency services with such medical and allergy details that are stored on the ‘Family ID Register’ by the Family of the person(s) found. Detailed information will only be passed through the emergency service control room.
Alert ID will inform Next-of-kin of the details of an accident only when there is no likelihood that the person will die. When this is likely the responsibility to inform the next-of-kin is passed to the emergency services that will be given the details stored on the ‘Alert ID Register’.

Terms and Conditions of Sale

Please read these terms and conditions (the “Online Purchasing Policy”) carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms on which Alert ID Services Ltd makes the products available to you through the Alert ID website or by telephone contact with an Alert ID representative.

1. Purchases via the Alert ID websites

The technical steps which create the contract between you and us are as follows:
(a) You place your order for ‘Account renewal’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ on the Website by pressing the order confirmation button at the end of the checkout process. There may or may not be a packaging and delivery charge dependant on any particular offer at the time.
(b) An order acknowledgement, will be posted or emailed to you, detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation and does not constitute an acceptance by Alert ID of your order.
(c) Upon despatch of your order, an order confirmation, will be posted with your ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’. Acceptance of the order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the products ordered, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.
(d) Before paying for your ‘Account renewal’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ you will be required to confirm that you accept the terms and conditions of the sale.

1.1. Remote payments
a) An Alert ID representative will take your order over the telephone. b) Your order will be processed through our merchant services facility. This method of payment gives you security, reassurance and peace of mind as the merchant service assumes full responsibility for the security of your credit / debit card details. c) Acceptance of the order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place when the credit / debit card transaction has been verified by the merchant service. d) Your ordered ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ and any accompanying literature as appropriate will be despatched to you at the earliest opportunity and certainly within 60 hours. e) Printed terms and conditions will be posted or emailed to you if you request them at the time of the credit / debit card transaction.

2. Prices

2.1. The prices payable for the ‘Account renewal’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ that you order are clearly set out in the Website. If mistakenly, the price that appears on the Website is not the correct price for a particular product, we are not obliged to supply that product to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before the product is despatched to you.
2.2. All prices stated on the public Alert ID websites are inclusive of VAT. Prices quoted on the Alert ID Business 2 Business websites may be exclusive or inclusive of VAT as described by the website.
2.3. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered, including any variations in the rate of VAT payable. If this occurs, you will be notified and requested to reconfirm your order at the amended price.
2.4 Shipping costs may be added to the price of goods sold at the prevailing price at the time. The customer is always notified of shipping costs which are clearly seen on the Alert ID shop website or conveyed by the Alert ID operator during a telephone order and prior to taking payment.

3. Availability

3.1. The purchase of ‘Account renewal’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ displayed on the Alert ID website is subject to availability and we shall not be liable to you in the event that we are unable to supply ‘Account Setup’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ to you.

4. Payment

4.1. The total cost of your order is the price of the ‘Account Setup’ and or ‘ Account renewal’ and or ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ ordered plus any applicable packaging and delivery charges as indicated at the time that you place your order.
4.1.1 Payment is not accepted at any time for a term of service. This is not allowed by Mastercard and Visa rules.
4.2. Payments can be accepted from most credit and debit cards.
4.3. Credit/debit card payment will be processed at the time that you place your order.
4.4. All card payments are processed by our Merchant Services provider for a commission fee which is included in the cost of your purchase.

5. Delivery

5.1 Delivery will be made to the address specified by you at the time of ordering.
5.2 Delivery will be by Royal Mail. Delivery of products will usually be affected within 60 hours of the date of the order confirmation email. In respect of products which are made to order, the delivery time will be longer. We shall not be liable to you for any loss resulting from delay in delivery to you.
5.3 The delivery charge applicable to your order will be indicated at the time that you are asked to confirm your order.

6. Cancellation

6.1. You have the right to cancel your order of "Account Setup" and or "Products" and or "ID Devices" up to 7 working days after the date of order of the products by contacting us by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

6.2 If "Products" and or ‘ID Devices’ have already been despatched to you before you notify us that you wish to cancel the order, you must return any ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ to us in accordance with our Returns procedure below.

7. Returns

7.1 If, for any reason, you need to return ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ to us, you must do so within 28 days of the date of delivery. Please use the following procedure for returning any product to us:

i) Keep the product in the original packaging and in its original condition; 7.2 Please note the following points in relation to returns.
(a) All ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ must be returned to us unopened and in good condition. We reserve the right to withhold refund of part or all of the purchase price if the product is returned in a condition which makes it unfit for resale;
(b) Alert ID shall not be liable for the non-receipt by us of returned ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’. Please send returned ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ to us by registered post and retain a copy of the certificate of posting from the Post Office.
(c) Upon receipt by us of the returned ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’, your credit/debit card will be credited with the purchase price of the ‘Products’ and or ‘ID Devices’ (but excluding the relevant delivery charge and the return postal charges unless the products are faulty or returned due to an error on our part).

8. Purchased and lapsed accounts

Your initial ‘Account Setup’ is free if purchased by credit or debit card and enables you to purchase ‘Products’ and ‘ID Devices’ to identify people, pets and personal property direct from within the Alert ID register.
Your account will remain active for the trial period or whatever period you have agreed with Alert ID. Once you have purchased and then registered ‘ID Devices’ Registration of your ID Devices provides the public with access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ via the telephone number displayed on the ‘ID device’ and covers all ’ID Devices’, whenever they were purchased.
Free access to the ‘Emergency Support Team’ for the member expires after the term of registration indicated at the time of purchase or trial. Purchase of a ‘Registration renewal ‘ will enable you to continue with registration for all existing ‘ID Devices’.
It is the ‘Registered Account Holder’s responsibility to ensure that their ’Registered Account’ remains active.

9. Charity Donations

Alert ID supports a number of chosen charities each year. Details can be found on the web site atwww.alertidgroup.co.uk and in literature which can be supplied at the time of purchasing any Alert ID ‘Registration Account’, ID Service or ‘Products’. Donations to one or more charity may be made via the web site or through the Alert ID customer services team. Charitable donations do not attract VAT. Charitable donations cannot be refunded. All charitable donation payments are taken separately and 100% forwarded to the charity chosen by the purchaser together with the purchaser’s name, address and contact details as detailed by the purchaser.

10. Family Registration termination

Alert ID Ltd reserve the right to terminate the ‘Family ID Register’ account of any person with a full refund of an ‘Account renewal’ charge and a refund of any ‘Product’ and or ‘ID Devices’ that are returned to Alert ID Ltd upon request. Alert ID Ltd are not under any obligation to give an explanation for termination of any ‘Family ID Registration’ account.

11. Legal notice

This Online Purchasing Policy incorporates the terms set out in the Legal Notices and acceptance by you of the Online Purchasing Policy shall be deemed to be an acceptance by you of the Legal Notices.


Delivery of your selected devices will be made to the address specified by you at the time of ordering.
A delivery charge of £2.00 may apply to individual member orders delivered to any UK address
An unspecified delivery charge, may be made for bulk orders for one or more members to any single UK or international address.
Deliveries will be by Royal Mail unless otherwise stated.
Delivery of purchased goods, products, ID devices, will be within 10 working days.
